Animated Avatars

Ok, I've been trying to use an animated avatar for the last hour, and I'm not having any luck. So, I've decidedto turn to this site's everlasting wisdom to help me with my problem. Thanks to all who respond. :ninja:

are you trying to upload one from your own computer, or from a site? if you are trying to upload from your own computer and having no luck, try uploading it to imageshack and then using the url in the first option...

It's from a site, and I know that it's not too big, because when I tried to upload it, it showed, but it was still. It was supposed to be animated. :(

I guess my question is, how do I get my avatar to upload as an animation, rather than as a still image?

Try saving it to your computer from the site and then uploading it, some sites are known to have issues linking animated gifs.

Also, the preview in the "Avatar" tab in your profile isn't always working. Even if it doesnt play out there, be sure to check one of your posts as it might work there.

If you link me to the animated graphic you had in mind - I would be happy to add it to your profile for you; at least this way I can determine whether or not the image complies with our maximum avatar restrictions, ie: isn't too large in size or dimensions, etc etc.
