Overcock you graphics card. Be carefull though 'cause if you go too far you could overheat your computer.

Well only way without spending money is to make sure your running as few background processes as you can and maybe overclock your GFX card as Ali said.

Re: Any good way to improve your PC without spending money?

How do i overclock my graphics card?

Re: Any good way to improve your PC without spending money?

you can:
overclock gpu(graphics card)
overclock cpu
defrag your hd
use a program called ccleaner (took off about 2 gigs of temp int files for me)
you can also do this:
1.go to start
2.right click on computer
3.go to properties
4.advanced
5.under performance click on settings
6.click adjust for best performance
7. If it looks old then dont worry its suppose to be like that.
8. If your fine with it looking like win98 then ok but if not tell me and ill tell you how to change it for performance while keeping it pretty.

Personally I would NEVER overclock anything things aren't or usually aren't made to be pushed spend the cash get better kit you'll thank me when it doesn't go bang in 6 month's. Improving performance WITHOUT spending cash is tricky but not impossible. Firstly i'd look at where your paging or swap file is living and its size. This is done by "My Computer" > "Properties" > "Advanced" > Under the performance area hit "Settings" Then hit advanced at the bottom you will see your "Paging File". Right for those that don't know and care to know the paging file is an area of the hard disk that is used by the PC as a form of virtual RAM> This basically means it gets written to and read from ALOT. So if you have more than one Hard Drive it can be worth setting your Page file to the drive that is used the least. For example you can point it at a hard drive that you store videos or music from which when your playing a game your probably not using. A better solution is of course to get more RAM. NB: if that went over your head or you don't feel confident doing it a) google it or b) don't bother it is at the end of a system file and you could hurt your PC which in term will make you want to hurt me and no one wants THAT. *deep breath* Sorry for being wordy other things include disabling services or background programs through the use of "Task Manager" or its equivalent. Thats about all I can think of at the moment apologies if i'm not gospel on everything and please if your playing with your system be careful its never fun fixing it.

Wow thanks dude.

Re: Any good way to improve your PC without spending money?

Actually it depends on your current system. Modern GFX cards and CPUs are made so that you have extra room to overclock them. I think you should ask from a computer forum wether you system can be overclocked or not.
If you have an older system, overclocking isn`t that useful, but newer hardware can be improved quite a bit. You might need extra cooling, though and it takes some time to tweak your machine to the best possible configuration.
