Anybody Got a Crowbar?

Okay, I'm dead serious here, really asking for advice and ideas, not screwing around or spamming.

Anyone have any idea on how to separate younger siblings from the 360 long enough for you to get in there with Fable, without causing a huge argument/dire punishments from on high such as 360 relocated to trash can/lock on cabinet?

And nobody advise reasoning with her. Trust me, I know the whole "hey, why don't we play something we can both play so that then I can play something I want to play?" load of BS and it doesn't work. The only way it works worse is if I try it on my older brother.

Re: Anybody Got a Crowbar?

ask her to take turns? like mabye you play an hour then she plays an hour or you could even try to sway her by giving her 2 hours and you one

Re: Anybody Got a Crowbar?

This worked beautifully with my younger siblings. They would hog the 360 with Viva Pinata for days, so I went out and bought a cheap computer game, I think it was like the first Halo for PC. Anyway, back then we shared a comp, and I told them that they weren't allowed to play Halo, but they could play Xbox as much as they want. Sure enough I woke up the next morning to find them blasting the heads off of the Covenant, and the 360 was free

Re: Anybody Got a Crowbar?

Sneaky, sneaky. Unfortunately, sharing doesn't work too well with my family (if she has it she isn't going to give it up, because she doesn't think I will) and she's too old for that reverse psychology to work. I might be able to get her to play Rise of Legends or Sims 2 instead of KOTOR II, but I doubt I'd be so lucky. Especially since she's locked off the computer because she stays up too late. If I log her on, my mom would have my hide.

Re: Anybody Got a Crowbar?

do what i do, watch them playing and take interest to it, it absolutely turns them insain lol they go
"oh fs go ahead"

Re: Anybody Got a Crowbar?

Nope. Doesn't work... I don't know why that would. The only reason it might would be if I bugged her to get off and/or physically kicked her off, which would defeat the purpose of filial peace and harmony. And anyway, I already beat KOTOR II, and I don't really feel like playing it again.

Re: Anybody Got a Crowbar?

Maybe you could help her beat the game faster?

Re: Anybody Got a Crowbar?

take batteries out of the controller :) or but dead ones in
pretend its bust and say ill get another later as long as you let me play a while.

Re: Anybody Got a Crowbar?

I wish. My brother bought a rechargeable controller, and anyway she could just go cannibalize something else's batteries.

Couldent you just help her beat the game faster?

Re: Anybody Got a Crowbar?

No, that's even worse than sharing. We end up fighting because she doesn't like or doesn't understand my advice.

Re: Anybody Got a Crowbar?

That sucks dude. Luckily, my sister isn't a big gamer... so the PS2 and any other system is open. Aaaand! We have our own computers. Its good that my dads hobby is computers.

Re: Anybody Got a Crowbar?

you could try taking a break :)

or if you cant them join them. maybe you'll like playing with your sister and you might be able to get in some gaming :) it worked for me an my sister is 21. maybe because iam a girl.

Re: Anybody Got a Crowbar?

Seeing as the whole "peace and harmony" thing is a must, locking her in a cupboard won't work? (my sister's favourite form of attack). Can you kill her and blame it on a pet of some kind?

The sad reality is all little sisters (me being one myself) are a royal pain in the backside. Any luck speaking to parents about this? Surely there is something she really wants to be able to do but mum and dad say no...you could bribe her by saying "hey, I know, I can put a good word in/convince parents if you let me play on the 360 for x amount of time"

Failing that - seriously, the cupboard works wonders....*shudders*

Re: Anybody Got a Crowbar?

i say you mentally kill her....are u older than her? if so....just throw random questions at her, drive her insane, she'll run into her room, and then lock the door. or.....simply ask her if u can play for a day, and she plays the next and so on...or just kik out of the way, and tell her to buy her own 360....

Re: Anybody Got a Crowbar?

My sister isn't a big gamer, either. She only plays a few, but she plays those obsessively.

And yeah, I might resort to playing with her, but A) She was playing KOTOR, which is one player and B) She doesn't like multiplayer because our older brother and I are both better than her.

Yeah, I would try locking her in a closet, but none of them have locks (what an oversight). I've locked her out before, but then she starts screaming and banging on doors and it gets really annoying. And as soon as my older brother gets home or hears her I'm REALLY screwed. Him and his girlfriend both.

And yeah, I won't say that I haven't come close to considering fratricide (my sister gets REALLY obnoxious, especially when I have to haul her *** out of bed at five thirty in the morning for school) but the only pets that might conceivably kill her is the cat or the guinea pig. And the cat isn't believeable because he's easily bribed with ham; and the guinea pig is in a cage. The dog is a big baby and the fish... heeeeyyy... that's right! I can make it look like the fish killed her!

And on the subject of "mentally killing" her... well, I just don't have the patience. And I can't just kick her off because I'm the middle kid (so was she, but our youngest sibling wasn't a gamer) and if I do kick her off then my brother resorts immediately to physical violence, and my sister jumps in too, just so I don't feel unloved. If my brother's girlfriend is there, she'll probably start pummeling and/or gouging flesh as well.

I think I'll just have to resort to the tried-and-true method of waiting till she gives up and jumping on the console before she wakes up in the morning. Then I can hide the controllers to keep her from getting back on. Fortunately, we have lots of places to hide them. I don't think she'll have any luck finding them.
