Anyone know if Cheating from Pubgames really affects your character post merge?

Im not sure if I want to merge my money or not, as there was a rumor that the cheat really wasnt a bug, but was planned. I dont believe that. I think it was just a bug.

However, has anyone who has cheated, can you confirm if it affects your purity or not?

Also once you merge, is the gold GONE in pub games, or could you merge it with another character later?

I cheated in Pub games and won like 200,000 gold. Then got scared cause i heard that something would happen. So i attempted to spend it all by doing tourneys and what not. But i still had like 150,000, so i thought what ever. When i merged my characters, i paid my debt, and got my money. Nothing happend physically, but i went to my stats and my moral rate was leaning more towards the "corrupt" side. I dont know if thats what happened or just coincidence, or maybe i missed something. But so far i have not regretted merging my character.

Apparently according to several sources it was a bug, but if you did use the cheat you get some Corruption Points (which are fairly easy to get rid off), I don't know if this becomes more of an extreme case if you made a gazillion billion gold, but I'd imagine that to be the full extent of the concequences.

i havent found it to be 100% confirmed by anyone or anywhere yet, but people are saying multiple difference consequences, someone was over a trillion gold in debt because he had spent the last 2 months glitching gold thinking he is awesome - he happened to be the #1 person on the leader boards, lamo you deserved it buddy!

some people have become grotesque looking, really lumpy looking skin and sort. corruption points actually wouldnt be a consequence for those who are going evil anyway. so that wouldnt make much sense as a consequence

so when you merger your character, does it delete the gold from your pub games accuont? I want to know because if I merge, and then decide I want my first game to be good, and delete my character and start over, is the gold GONE.

Also, is there a quick way to get rid of corruption points?

yea it gives your current character that you merged with all the gold from your pub games. but there is another money glitch in Fable 2 (not pub games) that is way easier and gives you wayyyyy more money.. PM if you dont know it yet.

Yeah the charcter you were using dissapears/deleted.

I didn't notice a corruption, because I was playing evil anyways.

I cheated and made about 3 million; When I merged, I was given about 2 million...I figured that was my punishment, loss of 1/3...

And when I did the fable2.com special chest contents, and downloaded that via xbox live, I was given my missing third (about a million) with THAT content.

Weird?

I didnt get a coruption and my charcter was good!
