Archeologist Quest ***SPOILER***

Ok, so I finished the game and sacrificed myself like the good hero I am and lost my families and dog. The next Archeologist mission says to go to Oakvale (which is Wraithmarsh). I'm here but have no indication as to where I need to dig because I haven't the luxury of a dog anymore. Is this Quest possible without a dog, or am I just waisting time? Thanks in advance for any help provided.

sadly i do not think it is possible..

you should have chosen love, you get good points (just no purity points) and your beloved dog back, but im sorry friend, I think you have no chance to find the remaining buried treasures.

the same thing happened to my friend, and he just gets a friend to do online co-op and show him where it is .

hi, hope this isn't too late for you. the answer to your question is YES, it's possible to continue with the archaeologist quests without your beloved dog. I did it. all you gotta do is find the site according to the clues, and then you should have the glowing lights come on to guide you to where to dig.
