Are we still Heros?

I was thinking about Fable III and its setting, new features from Fable II, and asked myself "Are we really going to be heros in Fable 3?. If you really think about it we are not. I mean its the industrial age, an actual age in time rather than being a fantasy like 1&2. And we dont use magic, we get magical gauntlets that let us toss spells at enimies. We basicly only get to be king because we were the only one in all of Albion that would even consider leading a revolution. I guess technically you can say were heros to Albion if we chose to be good. But if your evil then how would they see you as a hero, you didnt change their lives at all, mabey even made it worse.

Im still really excited about Fable III, this was just my thoughts.

Re: Are we still Heros?

Yes, you're an actual Hero, it runs in your family's blood.

We don't use Magic? We use Magical gauntlets? You just contradicted yourself. It's like saying Harry Potter isn't magic because he uses a wand. Even Gandalf has a staff.

It's still a fantasy kind of game, just with the changes Albion's Industrial Revolution brings.

You're the brother of the King. By blood, your the only person who would automatically be considered for the Throne.

Sorry, but that's a totally invalid collection of arguments.

Re: Are we still Heros?

you're still a hero in fable 3 and still do quests. everthings still the same just majorly improved.

you can only use magic gauntlets if you are already a will user.

in the fable series your classed as a hero regarless of your morality.

Re: Are we still Heros?

he didnt contradict himself.... You know what he meant.. Its not superhuman powers but gauntlet powers. Hes saying they downgraded in a way.

i read somewhere(gonna look for the source) that the gauntlets are an invention made by (possibly) garth than enhances your will power. so still only will users can use them.:D

lionhead wanted to make a way to have two spells at once and have some way for your magic(gauntlets) to morph too aswell as guns and melee weapons.

all this is not confirmed so don't snap at me later if i'm wrong.:ninja:

No, you assume I know what he mean't.

Do you think if I gave the Gauntlets to a random Villager, they'd be able to use them? Do you think if a random Villager wanted a break, pressed start, they'd teleport to the Sanctuary?

He made a collection of unsound statements and arguments. I'm not trolling here, it's just that he obviously hasn't been following Fable III, or even Fable in general, and then starts pulling loads of random statements together.

That's all I'll say about it.

Yes, we are going to be real heroes in Fable 3. Why would you say, well, we are a young aristocrat that wants to overthrow his/her own brother, to do so we organize and start a revolution and then we take over the throne ourselves.

We are real heroes in Fable 3, doing something wide and that will contain a lot of sacrifices, choices and to find a lot of people to support your cause, which is what all heroes do, after all.

Age doesn't matter when it comes down to fantasy, there's always some folklore in every epoch and some fables to be unveiled and stories to be foretold. The epoch that Albion is in now, is the best one, in my opinion.

Albion has progressed, it's not about clashing your swords upon the cursed Balverines or Bandits anymore. Your cause is something higher something that will actually change the face of the world and peoples lives, you are truly a hero.

You have to fight against the revolutionary technology of the time, you can't expect bandits, royals and all your enemies to don't carry a certain gun with them to try and match your will abilities.

Times changing and they are getting grim and challenging, the heroic powers mean even less with time and the people of Albion, thanks to the technology are becoming an even more dangerous threat to eventual heroes.

To survive, you are truly a hero.

That's not true. Your allies in the revolution have also, however as every revolution it needs its spark and a great leader. Such leader in the world of Albion couldn't be anyone else other than a direct descendant of a hero.

That's exactly Fable. It's your choice, you can choose to lead Albion into a worser place than what it is or into a better place. It's on your hands, as you are the ruler and a descendant of a real hero.

I believe I actually proved that everything you said about Fable 3 was incorrect, also that it did lack of a spell check.

I'm not saying I'm anything good with those either, just pointing out that you could use some 「online spell check」 before posting long posts, because it's kinda hard to read and split every part if you have a lot of simple spelling mistakes.

Though, I didn't mean to offend you, I'm sorry.

Re: Are we still Heros?

I agree with the blue text peoples, I think their arguments are valid. :P

Anyways, without getting into a definition of hero debate, almost anyone can be a hero and, no doubt, your going to run into other heroes while you play the game. I suspect that the your brother's general and Simon are going to be among them.

Regarding being evil, I'd say that even evil heroes can sometimes be called legitimate heroes to some people because they are a means to an end and the lesser of two evils. That being said, I'd just call them villains to be safe.

Citation needed.

This state always makes no sense considering that Molyneux has stated on separate occasions that he wants 5 or maybe even 6 Fables.

Re: Are we still Heros?

I doubt you'll be the last hero. That's the feeling you got in Fable II, and yet, Zachary 'the Silver Tongued Mage' was a Hero.

Also, James, TwinBlade was a Hero, and he was Evil.
