artifact gemstone ?

can anyone tell me where the artifact in gemstone grotto is?
i walked al through the grotto with my dog, but no artifact to dig up. at least my dog does not point out places to dig.
i only found a silver key and a truasure.
i have done the spire and killed lucien.

please help me.
