Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood Multiplayer Beta is PS3, GameStop Exclusive

Apparently Ezio is extremely particular about who he lets into his vigilante gang – the Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood multiplayer beta is not only a PS3 exclusive, but it is also now a GameStop pre-order exclusive.
Talk about picky.​

GameStop will hand out a limited number of tokens for the beta on a first-come, first-serve pre-order basis starting August 9. If you’re an over-achiever and have already pre-ordered Brotherhood at GameStop, bring your receipt to your local retailer to receive a token next Monday.​

The pre-launch multiplayer beta will begin September 13 on PSN, and Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood is scheduled for full release on Xbox 360 and PS3 November 16. We’ll of course keep you posted if the beta ends up becoming available by other means.​

What do you think are the benefits of such an exclusive beta system? PS3 owners who are also GameStop customers, how excited are you to try out the Brotherhood multiplayer?​

I don't really mind that the beta won't be on the 360. I'm too preoccupied with Fable 3. I'm even anticipating The Force Unleashed 2 a little more than Brotherhood. Still, Brotherhood is #3 on my list of upcoming games to get.

I'm neither a gamestop customer nor a playstation 3 owner. However, I can see they are trying to collect some audience like Halo: Reach did earlier this year. I can guess that Assassin's Creed Brotherhood will be okay as Assassin's Creed 2.

However, I don't expect anything special from this game. Unlike the other games that are going to be released around that time of the year.
