is it true theyre making an assassins creed 2.5 where its only online gametypes?

Not exactly no but there is a little truth in that. They are making an Assassins Creed that follows on from Assassins Creed 2 but it isnt a sequel (ie not Assassins Creed III) and it will have multiplayer mode. However there will also be a single player mode.

CEO Yves Guillemot said that the title will follow from the events of Assassins Creed 2 and star Ezio once again and also would have a "multiplayer component". However it wont be multiplayer only.

I'm intrigued! I haven't enjoyed Assassin's Creed 2 thus far but I do like the sound of this multiplayer mode.

How do you make a multiplayer out of a single player game? Have 2 assassins go at it in the same costume?

well no there could be like VIP where ur a villain or a guard of the villain and being aware of assassins. It they could make it like halo wars where u have ur base and u build an army. they could have capture the flag gametypes. they could have races either climbing or horseback. there could be special opps, and they could have like Gears of war 2 Horde where u and some partners hold off from waves of enemies, etc.

How do you make a multiplayer out of a single player game? Have 2 assassins go at it in the same costume?

My guess is that they will merely add things like a timed assassination mode. Where 2 assassins have targets to eliminate and whoever does it in fastest time wins or in most stylish fashion (spotted less times etc). Or maybe a kind of mini co-op styled mode.

Capture the Flag, like in one of the missions in ACII. Escort, where players are guards, and must escort an npc somewhere, while one player is an assassin.
