Assassin's Creed: Lineage

I am aware of an older thread regarding this (back in 2009 if memory serves correctly), but it only contained Part 1. In the meantime, it seems they've managed to make a 30 minute 'film' of it (split in 3 parts initially, but then made as a 'final'):

I'll have to say, this has been done perfectly. Ubisoft did a great job at creating the CGI, while the original voice actors did a superb job at creating the scene as a whole. Well worth the 30 minutes; watched it several times so far already.

I wonder if there ever will be an actual Assassin's Creed film. I'm sure Ubisoft would bring in a lot of cash if they'll do it as good as the 30 minutes one.

So, what do you think?

And yes, I've enjoyed every single minute watching that video. I really, really hope Ubisoft will come up with an actual film of the entire Assassin's Creed franchise some day. I'd have my money reserved for watching that one!

I know it was in development quite a long time ago (as stated in the first post), but not many people have seen it, and I've also seen it just recently (the entire version that is).

well i do have fun watching and amaze with it.. its quite long but its really interesting. I never been play AC 1 & 2, but I'm planning to pre-order the multiplayer version.

It's most certainly indeed. Mainly, in my opinion, because it explains the background story of Giovanni and Rodrigo (and the Templars in general). I want to get Brotherhood A.S.A.P., too.

The Lineage is awesome, I watched it a while ago. I agree, I really hope that Ubisoft makes a full length AC movie, that would be so awesome to see on the big screen!

To be fairly honest, I do expect them to make one some time. Why? Because they know people will love it. And why else would they have made Lineage? Perhaps to explain the story behind Lorenzo, Giovanni and the Borgia, but also to see what peoples' reaction would be about a film about Assassin's Creed. That's what I think, anyway.

If they do make a film, I hope that they'll change the time period, new characters, places and stuff. That would be great.

Changing the time period would not be a good idea for the Assassin's Creed franchise, in my opinion. It would only ruin it. Unless you mean in the past still. Future or current time period would not be suitable for Assassin's Creed.

I still mean the past. What I don't want is seeing the same characters that we have already seen.
