GamesRadar have released the first bits of info about the upcoming new Assassins Creed (which was revealed via a Facebook teaser on Sunday). Some people will have mixed feelings about this but it is NOT Assassins Creed III and is yet another title featuring Ezio Auditore in which he travels to Constantinople to follow in the footsteps of Altair. Ubisoft have said that this WILL be the final chapter of Ezio's story however.
Assassins Creed Revelations will feature “revolutionary gameplay that will enable players “to manipulate the construct of Desmond’s memories and the Animus to decipher the mysteries of his past and gain insight into the future". Revelations will also feature an updated version of Brotherhood’s multiplayer, with new maps, modes and characters

Would you say they've kinda overused Ezio a bit already? I honestly thought brotherhood would have been the last we saw of him. :/

Personally i thought one spin off title was enough to conclude his story but i am glad they are wrapping up his story properly.

At least it's the last we'll see of him. As we cross our fingers for a fifth game, let's hope we'll be able to play as a new assassin as well.

After the next game id say it would definatly have a new era and character.

One would assume so, but there's always the option of going back to Altaïr like we previously thought ACR was going to do. I think in the very last game though, whether it be the fifth one or something beyond that, we won't be playing as one of Desmond's assassin ancestors. I think we'll be playing as Desmond himself through the whole story.

Well id heard quite a few members of the gaming community ask for another game featuring Altair as Assassins Creed 1 was the most flawed one out of them and very repetitive. They want a new title be it a remake or a spin off featuring him to do the character justice. At some point though it is inevitable that the whole game will feature Desmond as the main plot is about him after all and not his ancestors.

Yeah, I think Altair being as badass as he was deserves better than the representation he was given in AC1. The character was solid, but like you said AC1 was repetitive. He really should be given a new chapter, with the current gameplay mechanics of the recent AC games and Altair's badassery combined it would make for a pretty interesting experience. Like I said he deserves better.

Thats exactly what people have been saying since he was the original assassin and the legend says he was the master who others learnt from. Yet gameplay wise he was the most limited and the others 'feel' better and have better abilities.
