Assassins Creed
The first game in the Assassin's Creed franchise is set in 1191 AD, when the Third Crusade was tearing the Holy Land apart.

anyway this game game looks sweet you get to be stealthy, cunning and cool looking the game looks REALLY fun and really hard as you can only take 1 hit b4 your dead
the character according to a gaming magazine had his right ring finger cut off so that the could attach a dagger to his arm to assassinate his target. Im 70% sure that the monks either hired the assassin or hes part of the monks...i forget. but im guessing the monks did this as a result of the third crusade tearing the holy land apart.
As for gameplay it looks sick you get to use objects to jump across buildings like you can grab ahold of a wooden pole ( i wouldnt though, splinters) and your not always in the city to so thats a good thing the combat looks fun you get a longsword and do these sick moves. you get to ride horses and you gotta blend in with the public you dont want to push or shove as a result will be gaurds coming and trying to kill you. You can also pretend your a certain figure like a monk as their walking by youcan just slip with them and make gaurds think ur a monk. then quickley getting out of the monk people and assassinate ur target....sorry if i explained it all horribly wrong..i did this at like 4 30 in the morning cause i was bored
Enviroments of the city look realish but im suspecting just staying in the city full time and not going out and seeing the land outside the city
