March 8, 2010 - The first downloadable map pack for Aliens vs. Predator is set to launch next week on March 18 for $6.99 on PlayStation Network and Steam and 560 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE. These maps were only available in the Special Edition of the game in Europe.

SEGA says there's four new maps total incoming for different mode types. Here's the description.

Two new multiplayer maps for six different modes (Deathmatch, Predator Hunt, Infestation, Species Deathmatch, Mixed Species Deathmatch and Domination):

• Docks: The caustic alkali waters of BG-386 put an end to Weyland-Yutani's planned shipping activities. But this dockyard soon became an historic battleground.

• Machine: As well as processing exotic ores, the BG-386 Refinery provided electrical power to the colonists at Freya's Prospect. The lights may still be on, but nobody's home. Yet.

Two new Survivor maps pits four Marines against a horde of never-ending Aliens:

• Outpost: The site of the original Weyland-Yutani colony on BG-386 was abandoned, and soon reclaimed by the planet's voracious jungle plant life. It is now the perfect hunting ground for all manner of wildlife.

• Hive: Deep in the heart of the Freya's Prospect Refinery lays the Xenomorph Hive. Beware all who enter here.

I'm not getting it, if there are no achievements, and I doubt that there will be.

No game includes achievements with online multiplayer maps.

The WAW ones were for the zombie mode if i remember correctly not the online regular matches and Halo 3's were with the mythic map pack for the skulls and the odd killstreak. Cant remember what the gears ones were for.

Halo 3 had 2 map packs that had achievements.

Legendary, and Mythic. Both of them added multiplayer achievements.

Gears of War 2's map packs added achievements for playing Horde and getting to level "whatever" in "whatever" map, and winning a match in every added map.

So you are incorrect :O

I never played them (i had the mythic pack but didnt touch it) and every game i have owned and got the map packs for they have never had achievements so i wouldnt know. Played Gears online twice and Halo 3 online for about 3 hours (besides horde, co-op etc).

Maybe i should have said 'hardly any' games have map pack achievements.
