bah this game seeems to be tilted toward evil

to get the nicest bow it seems you have to do evil. dont know of any good quests giving really good stuff. the temple of avo is biased toward evil. seems avo is just playing nice but has an evil heart for a god. this seems to be the trend through the game. wouldnt call this game ballanced as far as alignment goes at all. seems the message is that evil pays. good doesnt. prety sad message....:(

Re: bah this game seeems to be tilted toward evil

Being good has benefits, such as:
Reduced age, the Sentinus

I would have listed more, but I haven't played in a long time :D

Re: bah this game seeems to be tilted toward evil

better items? no, so you die faster. far as i am concerned evil benifits more in this game. age doesnt help win battles. i like my archer but hes a good guy and danged if i'll purposly do evil to get the bow i want. it sucks.

I have never died in Fable

Re: bah this game seeems to be tilted toward evil

ok maybe die was a bit exagerated but take more damage yes do to battles lasting longer. if your using spells to prevent damage then your using more potions to maintain them. either way it costs more to be good.

Re: bah this game seeems to be tilted toward evil

The Sentinus does 255 damage and has a silver augmentation, making it more effecting against balves and undead.
Skorms Bow does 264 damage and has a lightning augmentation.
You get the Sentinus by making donations at the temple of Avo, it is a good weapon

Re: bah this game seeems to be tilted toward evil

Of course it is easier to be evil, what would be good without having to make personal sacrifices?

are you claiming here that being good is an advantage in getting Sentinus? from reading other posts i learn that its far more expensive for good, bad folk pay far less so i think thats a bad example.

Re: bah this game seeems to be tilted toward evil

I meant if you play the entire game being good, or evil.
If you play being evil the entire time, then you would not donate to the Temple of Avo.
Also, if you play like you were talking about, you would have to be good to get Skorms Bow

Re: bah this game seeems to be tilted toward evil

ok i'm stumped, you keep saying you can get the bow playing good, so you mean i have to just go off and sacrifice a bunch of folks to go 800 poin ts evil to get it? well evil is evil. cant see a good character doing that, evil on the other hand would have no qualmes about playing good for gain. i hope you see the difference,

Re: bah this game seeems to be tilted toward evil

allso in my opinion avo is evil , if he wasnt he wouldnt be giving discounts to evil characters. he rewards evil with cheap prices. he punishes you for being good with high prices. sounds evil to me.

Re: bah this game seeems to be tilted toward evil

Arnlof, Avo and Skorm are just the fantasy of some trader. They are really forces present in Albion, the good ad evil, but Avo and Skorm are not god. The temples are placed on sites where the forces were particulary strong.

^ The part in bold was meant to be separate from the rest, it was meant for this comment:

Re: bah this game seeems to be tilted toward evil

I thought the opposite seems like most things you kill on the main quest give you good points. All you have to do to be good is avoid killing innocents. I'm not saying that's easy

ok so that changes nothing but shows the temple itself is corupt, its certainly not on a site of good for the folk favor evil there. pretty silly to think its a good weapon. so is skorm the good site?

No, it's a religion in the game.
That's like saying Christianity is corrupt. The people in the game believe that Avo and Skorm are gods.

i tjhink your wrong on that, skorm is a being. he apeared on a teleporter pad during a cut scene toward the end of the game. course maybe thats a a thing in the lost chapters only, which i am playing. but it shows clearly that there are beings being worshiped. its not just traders doing it for profit, pretty corupt traders

Re: bah this game seeems to be tilted toward evil

well i ended up finishing the game at age 61 without going to avo. really dont need it to beat the game. did fine with a masters bow which i could aford do to not spending coin on that expensoive (for good guys) weapon.

pretty cool how an old geezer can beat it. my guy is 61 but pretty spry for 61 i'd say

Re: bah this game seeems to be tilted toward evil

for one christianity is corrupt and two th thing on the boasting podium was scythe and the other thing was a summoner so you never see skorm because he doesnt exist read all the books!
