NOTE - A lot of this won't make a lick o' sense unless you have, even partially, read the important bits of the Balverine Order book, and completed Fable 3.

Read my points, then decide; do you think the conspiracy survived?
Note - as people give me more pieces of 'evidence', I will update this list.
  • The Balverine/human guy in Fable 3, in the 'Meet with a wealthy citizen in Millfields' quest can turn into a Balverine at any time, after doing something with that Balverine statue.
  • He could turn into a Balverine, just like all the important antagonists in The Balverine Order book.
  • Could this mean that the storyteller was wrong in thinking that he had killed all the order members? (Those members, who, coincidentally, were part of the order who wanted to halt progress in Albion and return it to the days where men cowered in the shadows of Balverines and similar 'nasties').
  • Either way, you get a hold of the statue, that seems to make order members, and what do you do. SELL IT FOR COINAGE! Disaster! I wonder what damage that statue will cause? Comments?
  • Just before Reaver's guests try to maul you he also mentions secret societies during that scene, so they may well have been a new Balverine order or remnants, taken over by Reaver (Brought to my attention by Tiny5th)

Though I haven't read the book I can get the general gyst of that you mean here.

Though thinking of it now it was rather silly selling it yes.

Didn't think of that. Now adding it to the 'evidence' list (not evidence, per se, but facts that may or may not correlate to a end point)

Or given that a fair amount of time will have passed between the end of the book and the start of Fable 3 they could be people who are trying to restore the order who survived because they weren't balverines at the time. But personally I think that the balverine statue in Fable 3 is just a coincidence

(General Inquiry)Have you read the book?
(Confused) The balv. dude in the quest whos name escapes me says something along the lines of 'the statue did just as the legends said'. He can turn into a balverine at will, just as the 'order' members can. I think it's too much of a coincidence.

Yes I have. But if the order needed the statue as part of thier ritual then how did that guy get it to work safely? Given that he would need to be bitten by a balverine. I think the only thing the same is that both he and the members of the order were possibly the same type of balverine (i.e higher something higher that white)

(Confusion at your comment) He did say that the statue worked 'just as the legends said', indicating that he had read up on this. Also, a balverine higher than white. Never heard of anything like that. Except maybe the Balvorn. And that's gone A.W.O.L/M.I.A (Disappointingly)

The balverine higher than white is just a theory, a way of distinguishing between normal white balverines. Also the legends he read about didn't necessaryily have anything to do with the order.

Don't you think that's too much of a coincidence? huh, nevermind.
