bandit clue maps

How do you use these maps that you find for the location to their secret area or what ever it is? I had a complete map, but then it eventually just disappeared.

Are you talking about the Highwaymen Maps, or pieces of sketch? If so, once you have a complete sketch the quest "The Hit" should unlock. Set it as your target and the trail will lead you to the proper area.

You find, I think four, sketch fragments and it leads you to the Forsaken Tower in Brightwood, and theres this chase where you kill this one dude, I have no idea what exactly it is though, no real big reward besides renown.

You must not have found enough assassins. Once you have found them all (or rather.. they have found you) you should get "Completed Sketch" instead of fragments and "The Hit" should unlock. I haven't seen any glitches being reported on this one so try exploring the world some more and.. use your person as bait for killers? XD
