Battle.net - what is this sh**?!

So I purchased Diablo III.

I need an online account to even play offline.

When I try to register an account some dickwad has apparently used my email to create a fake account.

I can't recover the password for this fake account because I must fill in a "Name" field in the password recovery function - how am I supposed to know what name the dickward picked for himself?!

I am mighty ****ed off right now. What can I do? I can't even create a support ticket on Battle.net without being logged in! But I can't log in, that's the problem! Morons.

I've only got one I am using. I'd rather have it all there. Plus it is the principle of the thing.

It is my email god damn it.

Yeah, I understand that, but until you find a solution I'd make a temporary one just so you can play it. Why waste precious Diablo III time?

I'd try to find some Blizzard tech support phone number and call them.

Could be worse - you could have had your account hacked twice, second time was about a month ago, the tech support said it was probably a key logger - hadnt used the account since december and the password I used was for battlenet only so I doubt it was that, and the password was an old wifi password so 10 random digits so strong enough, since then I keep getting emails say every 2-3 days from "blizzard" or "battlenet" etc for suspicious activity etc - the scammers are persistent lol.
