Battlefield: Bad Company 2 'Vietnam' add-on coming Winter 2010

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam was just announced at EA's press conference. The first expansion pack to the hit FPS series will be released this winter. No further details were airdropped, but we'll be sure to fight our way to getting more details soon.

Update: EA has revealed a few more details about Vietnam, which will be a multiplayer-only expansion, featuring four new maps. Additionally, the add-on will include "enhanced" persistence, as well as new weapons, vehicles, unlocks, awards and Achievements/Trophies. Pricing will be announced at a later date. Hopefully this means free DLC for PC players. :thumbsup:

I find it a bit misleading that they call it an 'expansion pack' - when I think expansion pack, I think of Age of Mythology: The Titans, Command and Conquer: Generals - Zero Hour, all those brilliant Duke Nukem expansions... EA's definition of expansion seems a little too stingy to me. I mean, only four new maps?

I can't really argue if it's released on PC for free though. *fingers crossed* ^_^

^ I know when I think expansion I think something that could be a small game itself. This is more of a DLC to me.
