Best spell combinations

Im wondering what are your favourite spell combinations for different scenarios e.g. i like to use Vortex + fireball on the fast moving enemies such as Desert furies.
What are your favourite combo's?

P.S
What would you recommend for:
a) humans e.g. mercenary's
b) Balverines

(Yes you must unlock the chest "spell weaving" on the road to rule to combine spells)

Wind+Anything.

The MMORPG term "crowd-control" comes into mind.

The most brutal combo (at least for me) is Vortex+Blades, kills almost anything in 1 hit once you charged it halfway up.
