Bethesda Patch Shivering Isle Bug

Bethesda have been reading the feedback on a major bug in the expansion for the hugely acclaimed Elder Scrolls Oblivion Expansion 'The Shivering Isles'. Apparently the bug occurred as soon as Shivering Isles was installed, and was linked to object IDs and caused newly created objects in the game world to disappear.

But Bethesda were quickly on top of this and have just released a patch for it available on their official site:

Elder Scrolls Official Site

Despite many reports that the same bug happens on the Xbox 360 version of Shivering Isles, Bethesda said yesterday it's not been able to replicate it and hasnt found any evidence of this themselves but they are investigating. Hopefully a patch will be available over Xbox Live shortly.

Re: Bethesda Patch Shivering Isle Bug

Have you played it?

Not yet no, im still completing Oblivion at the moment

Re: Bethesda Patch Shivering Isle Bug

I beat the Shivering Isles, but after I heard about the bug, Ive been afraid to play oblivion. The bug delets the entire game world a little bit at a time, and Ive put too much time into my characters to risk deletion.

Re: Bethesda Patch Shivering Isle Bug

i beat oblivion easy and i can't wait for Shivering Isle

Re: Bethesda Patch Shivering Isle Bug

Sweet they fixed it. That mod that fixed it was ok, but a more permanent solution is always better.

I have an issue with the old patch i noticed yesterday, my ground is like rainbow coloured and some detail of grass etc is missing

Looks like im going to have to back up my saves and do a clean boot of the game and install patches again.

Interesting theory... but NO-ONE touches my drinks

I completed the main quest, but there's much more to see and do still! Much more to kill and be killed by, but besides that, there's the fact that my computer can't take much more. I swear my hard drive is so filled up that there's hardly enough room to download a decent game anymore... but there's no need to do that after Oblivion, now is there? :D

Ive almost got to end of main quest i think just got lots of side quests to do aswel, then i shall start again and hopefully not have the arena glitch happen to me next time around.

Then that would be the same thing...If you don't play him then it will be like the same thing as deletion either way youu wouldnt have your guy.

Except that once a patch for the 360 version, or some good confirmation (non of this "cant be replicatted yet" crap cause then its too late) that the bug is unexistant for the 360 version, I can go back to him, but if he's deleted I will have to start from scratch and that'd take me forever.
