Bio Shock

bought it yesterday
just beat it,

freaking amazing game I strongly recommend it.
The middle (climax if you will) of the story caught me completely off guard and just over all the game was great
so yeah Bio Shock is great

anyone els think so?

Re: Bio Shock

Haven't beaten it yet, but it's a very enjoying game. I really like the atmosphere it has, it really pulls you in.

Re: Bio Shock

Yeah I really found much of the game awesome and filled with different elements then most fps's....such as a good story

Re: Bio Shock

Thought the game was great, atmospheric, excellent AI, gorgeous GFX, really good story, and decent replayability.

Re: Bio Shock

You beat it in one day!?! Did you have the "Quest Arrow" enabled? Because that really ruins the game, IMHO.

Yeah one day sounds strange to me unless you played it for 15 hours straight or just ran from start to finish.

Re: Bio Shock

The DANMED demo wont start on my computer! It loads all the videos and then bam! Nothing happens. Friggin **** coding, make it friggin vista / geforce 8800-compitable! >_<

I didn't know I could disable it at first, I thought it was because I played it on easy. Thenit was on Normal too so I just disabled it. I agree it made to easy. I spent a lot of time going the opposite way on purpose but it was still too easy.

glad im not the only one who took detours on purpose

Re: Bio Shock

So, what was the whole objective of the game? Like the sole purpose of being down in... er... "bathysphere" as Tsuyu's sig puts it...

Thats the beauty of playing the game and finding out, the story is excellent and couldnt do it justice in a post.

I would have to agree to be honest, i had a sneaky suspicion of what ending would be but i was still shocked and thought it was awesome how it unfolded.

Re: Bio Shock

man how the dealt with the constant ideal of most video games plot being one sided was amazing
and very new something only a movie would have cooked up

Its good to see games not force feeding the story to you and making things glaringly obvious. It was a subtle and intriguing story that gave slow hints and teasers to unravel it bit by bit until the massive twist and didnt make the player seem stupid by pushing it down their throats.

Yeah, Xbox Live doesn't quite work where I live and it would probably kill my computer, so that's a bit of a problem. From what I've seen of it though, it looks like an interesting game, but I'd just like to know what it is you actually do throughout the course of the game... just to know before I buy.

You are trying to find out what Rapture is and why it is the way it is and escape it. While all the while learning more about yourself and make some choices along the way that test your resolve.
