BioWare: New Mass Effect Titles Won't Have Shepard

Don't worry, this isn't a Mass Effect 3 spoiler. In an interview from PC Gamer, Ray Muzyka stated "We have ambitious plans to continue this franchise going forward. Mass Effect 3 is simultaneously a couple of different things; a thrilling and epic conclusion to the trilogy as we promised our fans we’d provide for Commander Shepard, but it’s also a brand new beginning – it’s an entry point for new fans and it’s also a brand new beginning.

PC Gamer then asked Ray if Commander Shepard would no longer appear in any future Mass Effect titles, and Muzyka responded with "Correct."

To be honest I'm not surprised and find it welcoming, as much as I like to play as Commander Shepard, I'd much rather have the freedom to play as other races in the game instead of always human.

Thats what I said in that thread that one time. If Sheperd defeats the repears, ain't no other baddy gon be able to challenge him.
 
I didnt expect him to take the main role after Mass Effect 3 anyway and im glad we will get to see things from another perspective.
 
Good riddance I say.

Whenever I play Mass Effect, Shepard turns out to be a giant douche.
 
He probably dies at the end of Mass Effect 3. And it's not like they can resurrect him or something. Not with the huge stereotypical science fiction cliché that would go along side tha--

Seeing as I'm planning to go with the epic fail ending, this is not relevant to my interests. But srlsy, I'd like to see something set on the flotilla maybe? Ok, so every Quarian I've come across so far makes me rage but the whole community can't be as annoying as Tali.
