Black Phoenix's Tips 'n' Tricks: Economy

  • Ello!
Alot of you are confused and annoyed about the Economy in Fable 2.
Well i did some experamenting on how to get a 1 star bowerstone market, to a 5 star.

What you will need:
Alot of spare time
Alot of furniture
All the houses in the area you wish to improve on

Your ready to go!

For this short guide we will be using bowerstone market as an example, since it is the hardest area to improve. Its good to start with the hardest area, this way it can only get easier.

1. Go to bloodstone and get the furniture seller to follow you while shes on duty, above the furniture store is a small apartment like house, if you take her up there she will still be on duty.
2. buy all the 5 star ("luxury") furniture, then sleep in the bed for seven days, when you wake up she will still be there and with new stock. NOTE: She does not sell childrens beds, so you may have to go to bowerstone market for those.
3. Rinse and repeat untill you have atleast 15 of each type of furniture (15 will be enough for bowerstone market, you dont need more than this for other areas)
4.Redecorate all of the houses in bowerstone market (or your chosen region to improve on) and put rent on houses to 0% and shops to +20%, this will rapidly improve the economy.
5.Wait for a short while and the economy will improve

Advantages
  • You dont have to do jobs or spend alot of gold in the area to make the economy increase
  • You will recieve more rent if the house is better furnished
  • Better bonuses in houses
  • Better qulity goods will be available
Disadvantages
  • Takes alot of spare time
  • If your away for too long getting the furniture your spouse will get p***ed off
  • Some gold is required to do this

Overall this is a great way to increase economys in regions

--If you want me to make a guide for you of any kind, feel free and confident to contact me (via personall message) and i will see what i can do ;)--

Good Luck! =]

Re: Black Phoenix's Tips 'n' Tricks: Economy

Nice idea and good thread !

Your right about needing alot of patience as it could take a while to get enough furniture. Bowerstone Market in my game is 5* but I didn't change furniture in any of the houses, all I did was buy stuff every now and then and it stays at 5*. Maybe I'm just lucky? :D

Nice thread ^^
I think getting a high star rating in a profession also helps

yup usually does, but the problem with doing jobs is that if you get a high chain and you start making a profit, the towns economy will suffer.
now i know how gordon brown feels (sly shot at polotics)

Re: Black Phoenix's Tips 'n' Tricks: Economy

the makers of Fable wanted to make it as hard as possible, its all about sacrifice, so you gotta sacrifice your money in order to get the economy up.

I like your tips, Black Phoenix. Thanks for sharing this.
