i found black dyes in a chest on the way to west cliff from bandit cost or cove

well, Black dyes you can either trade for online !OR! there are a few traveling traders who sell it its called Midnight something.
White dye is in Bloodstone clothing shop or rarely in bowerstone hairdressers.
White dye is called Kilowhite dye (commen mistake to spell it Kilo-white)

Black dye is called Moonless Midnight. To get both, just sleep in Bowerstone, check both stores that sell dyes, sleep for 7 days & repeat.
Fairfax king, it's hardly a common mistake. I've never seen that mispelling before.
