book quest and dark evil hat

Basically I am trying to get the dark hat for an evil character and do not want to start the game again.

I am getting the good hat because I am forced to give the teacher the good books first, is there a way to get rid of my good books, only one trader I have found will buy 2 of them the rest only buy bad books.

I didnt know you had to sell the books first... lets see, the traveling traders will buy most stuff... and I think the bowersone north guy buys a few... I am sorry I cant help anymore

well in all the guides I have read they say to get the dark hat you have to avoid picking up the good books. However I cant do this as I have already picked them up

The bowerstone north guy wont buy any of my books they all blacked out on the sell list

It seems the only books that can be sold are the ones that can be brought.
