Just watch and all shall be revealed...
Release dates are September 18th in North America and September 21st internationally

Looks like they have taken much of what made the first so appealing and multiplied the good ideas and refined others. Just hope they have cut the excess and repeated content (guns that are pretty much the same except the odd stat difference) and cleaned up the menu system a little more. The drop in and out co-op always worked brilliantly and looks even better now too.

From what I've seen so far, the game is looking great, and the trailer just makes me wish the release date would roll around sooner. That Handsome Jack looks like a right menacing sort!

I wonder what his "joke" tagline will be.

But yeah, it looks like the first game but with a different story. But that is a good thing, i loved the first game and this seems exactly like it, with different weapons, slightly different graphics, better characters (Zero looks bad-ass) and more skills. I can see myself losing another 200 hours on this...

Perselant items will be the end of me.

In a way im glad it isnt out soon, ive got a list of games to get through and more on the way and my time is being spread thinly. So far im left with Assassins Creed Revelations, Batman Arkham City, Modern Warfare 3, Saints Row The Third, Skyrim, WWE 12, and Battlefield 3 which im juggling at the moment. Finishing up some things on The Darkness II also as well as playing Fifa 12 here and there casually then want UFC Undisputed 3 as another casual game. Then Mass Effect 3 and Hitman Absolution are coming out pretty soon and preordered ME3 already.

I thought Zero looked badass too, games like this are never complete without a sword wielding character.

Who cares about a sword when you can have two - two - machine guns?

UPDATE
Those gamers who pre-order Borderlands from participating retailers will receive access to the Borderlands 2 Premier Club, giving them access to in-game items and bonuses, including the Golden Key (to unlock a rare item in the Sanctuary Loot Chest), the Vault Hunter's Relic (to boost your gear-hunting fortune), and the Gearbox Gunpack (to deck your characters out with unique Gearbox Golden Guns.)
Also IGN have an article introducing the Siren for Borderlands 2.
