Bowerstone Mayor?

I have heard rumors that you can be the mayor of bowerstone by owning all of the properties in Bowerstone Market(32 total) and the properties in Bowerstone Old town (16 for giving the guard the warrants, 18 if you gave the bandit-ish-crook guy the warrants). Anyone know if this is true? also, I do not have the TLC version

you only need to own fairfax mansion as far as i know. if you get the ruler of albion achievement, you get King/Queen from the town crier, but by the time you can afford fairfax, you've got most of the properties anyway

Yea I know, I worked up just under 200k gold before I even went to the spire, and went back and bought damn near everything in bowerstone, Looks like I'll have to beat the game again before I continue my purchasing.
Is the castle 1 mil or 100k? I dont remember

The Castle is 1 mill, but the graveyard mansion is 100 k
