Broken Wings
This is a poem I wrote in the previous month, but finally decided to post here to get a bit of criticism for it. Unlike some other people, I'm open to criticism, both good and bad. Heck, if you feel like plastering it, go ahead, but here it is:
Fight the good fight,
Live and die,
Find the dark amidst the light,
Love with fervor, believe and try,
With broken wings, you can still fly,
The caged bird sings
A saddened tune,
The darkest of nights brings
The brightest light of the moon,
And without a prayer, none will defy,
Those with broken wings that can still fly,
And in despair, the world will drown,
Still in death will love lie,
And those with honor will lose their crown,
But with broken wings, away they'll fly.
