Bungie Reveal Halo 3 Beta Stats

Bungie and Microsoft have just got together to release the stats for the Halo 3 Beta. It seems that 820,000 unique player ID's were logged over the course of the time it was open and their playing time was was over 12 Million hours (apparently, this is equivalent to more than 1400 years of continuous play by one person) which is quite an impressive figure for a limited time Beta. Shane Kim corporate vice president of Microsoft Game Studios had the following to say about it.

Witnessing such a great reaction to a small portion of the game has been inspiring. It's a testament to the fervour and anticipation that surrounds Halo 3. We're confident that on Sept. 25 Halo 3 will drive an unprecedented wave of new gamers to the Xbox 360 platform and Xbox Live.

Thanks to the tremendous participation in the beta, Bungie now has an exhaustive amount of data that will be used to improve the overall game experience.
