Soooo, I'm new to this forum, but not to fable at all. I've looked all over and haven't found anything about my question, so I figured I'd go on ahead and ask.

I got the game and started wondering around to see what I could find. I found some merchant stands and what not, and decided to see what was new. This may be a silly question but how do I view their products? I know with blacksmiths and barbers shops they have everything displayed on mannequins and tables, but with merchant stands it seems like you can only look at what they have displayed at that moment. It's stumping me though to be honest.

The menus in fable 1 and 2 were tedious to look through, but if what I mentioned above is the only way to buy things in fable 3 then I'm going to go on ahead and say that I want the menus back. >_<

I like both systems.

They both have pros and cons. I was happy enough with menus to cycle through, but that's not to say I don't find it a convenience to just walk up to the item and buy it.

It's just nice to see a game trying to do something different.

is that the only way to buy stuff from merchants though? i agree it is a nice change but im just confused

I found it troublesome too; they do not seem to sell as much, like a food vendor selling a pie and some other food instead of several different foods and varieties to the foods. That and that the amount of items seems to be fewer in number. It is kind of funny buying beer at a bar while it’s on the pillow pedestal.

I personally don't like the new system for buying items. I would much rather have the list of items to by like in fable 2, and plus now the stalls will only have 1-3 items for sale at any given time and shops that are in buildings 5-10. I mean what happened to one stall or building having 10-20 items for sale at once. But I guess it doesn't really even matter about food vendors though with fable 3 being so easy.

This game is full of disappointments and this is definitely one of them. I like the Sanctuary but not having a menu for vendors is a tad idiotic... then again... there's almost no variety in the items and none of them have any use. Unless, of course, you just want to get drunk or married. Aside from that the food has no use (unless you're REALLY terrible). So yeah... not happy with this.

I love the sanctuary but I do agree on the shop stuff spose it gives them an excuse for the amount of clothing in the game

the new menus are really cool, the only thing that I didn't like was not being able to hold 5060 carrots and 39202 celery sticks, it was always like "do you want to replace your celery for your carrots?" I hated that.
