probably, fable's a realistic like game so you could be in 'debt.'

You wouldn't start out with negative money as such, but you would have debts that you would eventually have to pay off in-game. I suspect you still pay them off at your leisure (well, other than the cryptic problems that come up), so your money won't actually be negative, you just devote however much of it you want to paying debts.

to get the money you earned, or the debt you made, you need to "join" your in game character with the character that gambles. so if you in debt, just dont do it. also, you can have multiple gamblers, so just use one untill you get the hang of it, then when you are good enough to make a profit, switch characters. and then join your in game character with the good gambler. also, once joined, the characters can never be separated. but, you can join multiple gamblers to one in game hero. thats all i know. hope it helped. i bet albion knight could explane it in better detail if you need.
