Cant move into Fairfax castle.-

Hi there. Decided to polish my fable 2 world before i would throw myself at fable 3 when it comes.

But one issue ive come along is this.

I cant move into fairfax castle.

Im married to Lady gray and have two kids.
And im also married to a ....some lady with no kids.

And i wanted to move lady gray and the kids from their house to the castle.

But when i turn up at the castle the only option i have is to set budget.

Ive done what i think i have to do, which is make miss gray follow me to the castle and then look at the sign... But no option to move in.

So i tried the other kid-less wife....

Then i thought it might be cause i had two wife's.
So i took the second wife out for a walk among bandits. But that didnt change much.

So any idea what im missing?

Have you tried moving into a different house, just to see if you could do it? Was you living there before with your other wife?

I think its just a bug, there are many bugs with Lady Grey in Fable 2. You can read about them here.

Edit: Wait, set budget? I think you are already living there.

Set Budget means you live there with a spouse, If she keeps going to her old house, I guess that's just what happens when you marry a walking corpse, dude.

hmmm. Already living there? can i do that while having two other homes with two families?

Ill try and first see if can move just my char. Then ill try and move family to a other location and maybe then to the castle.

never seen that clip before.

But ok... so i tried just moving as my character alone to a other house. Not possible.

Then took lady gray and moved her from a house in Bloodstone to bowerstone market.
That was issue free. Then took her to the castle and no luck.-
And as mentioned i cant either with my other wife who is currently locked away from "gray" in the house behind the demon door.

So any other ideas ?

No idea, never married her, I thought that Gravekeeper was a nice guy and I couldn't bear betraying him for an old corpse.

Fable II has many glitches when it comes to marriage. First thing you should do is NEVER save after you experience this issue, restarting your XBOX 360 would fix the issue most of the time.

If you have saved then another way to fix the problem is to kill the wife, however this being Lady Gray (one of the most glitch wives in Fable II) You should try to treat her well and look to increase her budget. The problem could be temporary or permanent.

When the problem seems to be permanent then try to kill Lady Gray (without saving) and moving to the castle, if you still cannot move to the castle then it means that the Castle itself is bugged with this certain citizen, in that case you should try to go to an old save (if you have any) before the point you finish the quest with Lady Gray and move her to Castle Fairfax.

These methods here should work in a way or another. I would consider trying with another save, to see if that's your disks problem then we would be sure that's not a save-game writing error on your HDD. (hard disk drive)

You can't.

No both are alive.
In the family section i also just see those two wifes.
Lady gray and shelly.... But she cant move in there either. And tried killing Shelly to se if that cahnged anything... but no.

You can't.

There should be some way. If you can't then starting a new game should be taken in consideration in order to assure there aren't game-save writing problems related with the issue.

If you keep attacking Lady Grey, she will only divorce you but she cant be killed for some reason. Guess its because she already is.

Edit: She can be sacrificed in the Temple of Shadows though.

Divorce, sacrifice. Everything's fine. It's just to try and spot what the problem is. Though I don't support such actions towards in-game characters.

I can why you wouldnt support the actions in real life, but why not in-game? Games are for doing stuff you cant/shouldnt do in real life, and for fun, as i see it.

Been a long time since ive played this.
But that quest is done and knowing myself im pretty sure i aced the quest and no one was harmed. If there was i would have kept reloading and trying again.

Fable is only for 360. I think Dark ment another hero.

You can choose another save-game when you start a new game in Fable II. Afterwards your new hero will be saved on a different slot and you'll be capable of selecting the hero you want to play with every time you hit continue.

You can switch through save-games if you research the question a bit more, you can have multiple save-games using your XBOX 360 and an USB stick. That's how I have got backups of my Fable II characters a while ago. (well the new characters)

As the post above, another solution is to move Lady Gray somewhere else. Though I would try to find if the problem has to do with Castle Fairfax itself or it's just Lady Gray that has glitches.

thats actually where my other wife lives.
But yeah forgot its only fable 1 thats on pc.

I tried some more things which just makes it stranger i think.

I took lady grey and moved her to bowerstone. Then i went alone to Bloostone Mansion (reapers old house) and there i also could only set budget.
I took lady grey there and same thing.

Then i took Shelly away from Serinity and she was able to move into Bloostone Mansion. So took her to fairfax once again. But still just set budget.

Does my hero both live in bloodstone and bloodstone mansion when it has the option set budget? hehe im lost :S

But really dont wanna start all over hehe. Might fix this... But its alot of play time and i have everything in this save.

Any last ideas to try - on this save ?

EDIT.
ive come to think its a mix of both..... Non incl me can move into fairfax.... And Grey cant move into fairfax and bloodstone mansion.

Bloodstone im thinking might as well be that she has two kids maybe and they wont fit the house. ?
