The Witcher developers CD Projekt Red have revealed some more details about their new futuristic RPG now known as Cyberpunk 2077. It is still a long way from a release and is still only in the very early stages of development but already the gaming media are getting excited for the game. The official press release describes the game as the following:
The year 2077 is a "dark future" in which "advanced technologies have become both the salvation and the curse of humanity". You will be set loose in Night City, a "sprawling metropolis", and its surrounding areas. You'll also get to visit "places well known from 'Cyberpunk 2020', including a combat zone completely taken over by gangs, the legendary Afterlife joint and the nostalgic Forlorn Hope".
Cyberpunk 2077 is a "multi-thread, nonlinear story designed for mature players", with a sandbox structure that'll offer "freedom of action and diversity in gameplay".
The official site has just gone live and can be found here.

I remember now hearing about this sometime ago, anything Cyberpunk makes me giddy especially when there's a heavy 80s tone to it.. I swear there's not enough of this stuff anymore. At it's current rate I won't be surprised if it ends up as next-gen, but I definitely have my sights locked on this one again so thanks for posting it.

I like how they cater for more mature audiences with their titles and the dark stories they write are brilliant. Be interesting to see them go open world and how far they can take their freedom and choices. I loved The Witcher 2 as it was dark and its combat system was great once you got used to it and the story and choices were good too. Im excited to see what they do with this, got a lot of respect for them.
