Co-op, better or worse than expected?

One of the main things I am looking forward to about this game is the co op system.

Ive not actually heard much about it in depth of how much you can actually do though.
So someone please put me out of my misery and let it all out for me here ;D

One thing i did want to know, is that can you do the main storyline co operatively?
i heard something about being to do some quests but is that only limited like the sort of thing you could do in GTA where it was designed mainly for online experiences.

worse! not even worth playing, its too much hastle!

1. The loading/wait times to get in are ridiculously long
2. you cannot play as your hero, you only get the attributes of your hero (no items, weapons, etc.)
3. its like the both of you are playing on the same system, where if the 2nd player doesnt follow you, you now cannot move on, you are stuck in the area.
4. the camera is on a hidious angle
5. you cannot loot anything (pick up items, search chests, etc.) -> If your the guest.
6 For the 2nd player (your guest) the game just isnt fun and its more boring than anything and makes you want to go back to your game, in return it also doesnt make it easier on the host, it makes co-op a nuisance.

overall, its just a bore for the guest, and irritating for the host.

co-op is not what this game was meant to be

Seems to have been developed as a bit of an afterthought, which is annoying, because on the many vids I saw before release, PM made a big noise about co-op being so wonderful...

For me, i don't intend to play the game co-op very much, only to invite a guest in to show them my towns and my character morphs, so not too bothered. I still like the idea of the orbs though, as I can easily spot a friend, give it a click and have a chat.

thats basically what i use it for as well, its honestly the most annoying thing to play.

but im having more than enough fun playing on my own

@emitremmus i believe so, which is why you cannot be the hero in your friends game, your just a henchman because your friends story cannot count for yours. it will mess up your world

The only complaint that I have is the shared camera system. The other stuff doesn't bother me very much but it depends who you play with. Someone with ADD would be hard to get along with as they would constantly be stretching the screen and making you go where you don't want to go!

but if you are in as a henchman and witness certain achievements being gained, you gain them as well

yea you get the achievements, but its only the ones that state 'watch a friend do this' that you would get the achievement for

im not a fan...i like to see my friends heros thats about it...

i was expecting to go on my own free reign in the region as my friend...oh well!

I agree with Jiin.

I was taking a shower when my brother hammered on the door shouting that there is split screen, co-op I found out later. So when I was done I loaded up a pre-made character with my attributes which wasn't cool. Yeah, I don't really need to say anything else really because Jiin said it all.

Maybe in the future they'll make an update with separate screens or something. I think it could be done, without allowing the guest to roam too far off. I haven't done co-op yet because it's bugged, right? Are people still freezing up with the update?

Oh well it does sound like the one disappointment for the game buuut..it's still cool to be able to see each others characters. I'll enjoy that at least.
