It's all praise for COD4 at the moment. Days after halting Halo 3's domination of Xbox Live, Activision will no doubt be pleased to know its shooter is up for a massive ten nominations in the Interactive Achievement Awards.
Five games are nominated in each category of the annual awards, and COD4 is up for (deep breath): Overall game, Computer Game and Console Game of the Year, as well as Action Game, Outstanding Achievement in Animation, Art Direction, Game Design, Online Gameplay, Sound Design and Visual Engineering Game of the Year awards.
That's pretty good going by Infinity Ward. And Activision is also looking at another two possible awards from Guitar Hero III, which has been nominated for the Family Game and Achievement in Soundtrack awards, although we're sure Rock Band will have plenty to say about that.
The winners will be announced at the Interactive Achievement Awards ceremony in Las Vegas on February 7.
