Collect the Dolls Question - im stuck

As usual I did Collect the Dolls quest, and I have 5/6... Just missing the one from Spot The Addition. Apparently, I did some very scary thing (probably killing the bandits at Twinblade Camp a couple times) in front of the Game Keeper... So now every time I try to go and play Spot The Addition to win the doll, the game keeper is scared of me. He gets up when I approach, and runs into a corner, or says something like "Oh mighty great one...blah blah" in a scared tone.

I've given him over 10 gifts, done every "nice" expression to him at least five times each and he still is scared of me. I'm not scary, I'm wearing Will User's Bright, I'm in the negatives for scariness and high positive for attractiveness.

How can I get him to stop being so scared, and let me play the game?

** I also tried the waiting game.... And slept through about 5-10 days to see if it was just a matter of time before he wasn't so scared anymore. **

maybe your alignment? if youre evil he will be scared.
and i believe running right over to him scares the NPCs too

Re: Collect the Dolls Question - im stuck

I just tried earlier... I walked as slowly as I could up to the guy but he still turns from a green outline (meaning u can interact beyond just talking) to a purple one, and I can't play.. Even when I walk up to him really slowly...

And my alignment is as far Good as it can be =/ You'd think he wouldnt be scared of someone with a halo and butterflies.

Re: Collect the Dolls Question - im stuck

Okay I figured it out... If anyone else has a problem with the game keepers not letting you play because they're afraid of you, this will help:

I was +94 Attractiveness, -23 Scariness, and I donated 500,000 gold to the Avo's Temple...So needless to say I had a halo above my head and butterflies following me. I even gave the game keeper gifts! Roses, chocolates, gems, and lastly but not least: beer. There was absolutely no reason why he should have been afraid of me... I tried approaching him very slowly (which failed), and also sleeping through 10 days to see if it was just a matter of time before he wasn't afraid of me again (which also failed).

Here's what would happen: I would get kind of near him, close enough so that he was highlighted and a green glowing outline was around him (meaning that I could interact and play the game). But as I got closer, the green outline changed to purple, he would get up, and run away/cower in a corner as if I was the devil come to take his soul.

HOW I BEAT THE GLITCH: This is one of those things that makes you think... wow, why didn't I think of that earlier and save myself a lot of frustrtation. All you have to do is cast the Slow Time spell to slow everyone else down. Then as fast as you can, run up to the game keeper and hit A (or whatever the PC "interact" button is). The game will start before he has time to get scared.

Anyways... this stupid glitch annoyed me quite a bit, so I hope this saves at least one of you some frustration in the future.

Re: Collect the Dolls Question - im stuck

!!!!!!! Lol I wrote that before I even played, I was just so excited. But now I figured something else out... I don't know if you guys all already figured it out for yourselves or not, but here goes:

** If you slow down time, and then play a game, time will remain slow until you quit playing. So if you're playing a timed game, like Spot The Addition (like I am), then the timer goes super slow, and gives you plenty of time to memorize (or even write down) which items are there so you don't have to remember. I bet you could get a record of like 10 seconds doing this.

Re: Collect the Dolls Question - im stuck

Wow, actually you can beat it way faster than that. I beat it in 8.3 seconds, and I even took time to write down which things were there for the last two levels.

Jack Hero Doll = Win

Thought I feel kinda silly for spending that much time just to accomplish a doll collecting quest...

Re: Collect the Dolls Question - im stuck

I've got a much easier solution...
"Play card pa..."
"GIVE ME THE DOLL OR ILL RIP YOU FACE OFF"
"Not a card pairs fan then?"
that was the last thing he said :)

I don't know if the guards would be too happy about that :P Then again I did just murder every single person in Oakvale so I could buy all of their houses and re-rent them to future generations of Oakvalians. And I have a GOOD aligned character. God help Albion if I was evil, then they'd have to smell that stench before they died :P

Re: Collect the Dolls Question - im stuck

i need help, i've played through the lost chapters 2 times, and i can't seem to find the last hero doll, the only ones i have currently are whisper, and briar rose.

Re: Collect the Dolls Question - im stuck

Briar Rose - Bowerstone South - Win Card Pairs in 28 seconds
Whisper - Oakvale - Win Coin Golf in 10 strokes or less
Twinblade - Twinblade's Camp - Win memory game in 20 seconds
Scarlet Robe - Twinblade's Camp - Win Card Ordering in 20 seconds
Thunder - The Arena Anteroom - Purchase from Merchant
You - Witchwood Lake - Kill first assassin or buy it
Maze - Hook Coast - Score at least 30 in Shove Ha'Penny
Scythe - Snowspire Village - Win Coin Golf in 10 strokes or less
Jack of Blades - Bowerstone South - Turn in seven dolls to the teacher

I think that covers it.
