Community Spotlight v.5: Sephiroxas
Don’t look now, but it’s come back… that’s right, it’s Wednesday again, and that means we're hip deep in the fifth installment of the projectego.net Community Spotlight!
This week I was after the elusive prey that is our self proclaimed Resident Photoshop Artist, Sephiroxas. I managed to briefly pry her away from her modding obsession and through much threatening and plying with alcohol, I managed to cajole her finally into giving me an interview… I can be very persuasive… or so I’ve been told…
Let’s see what I was able to dig up…
Hexadecimal: how did you find Fable in the first place?
Sephiroxas: Justin was playing fable, and he was ignoring me. I actually hated it to start off, but then he suggested I try it myself when he was over, and I did. And then I ignored him in return because I was awe struck about how fun it was. I had honestly never heard of it before then
Hexadecimal: I got mine free with my Xbox... Just like gears of war came free with my 360... I'm a lucky ducky
What was your first impression of our jolly Fable forums?
Sephiroxas: First impression? I thought everyone was really nice after reading through a lot of posts. Mostly about the Singing Sword and Sandgoose
Hexadecimal: Nice eh? And how long did it take you to learn you were wrong on that one?
Sephiroxas: I wouldn't say wrong. But when I first introduced myself I was a little intimidated by Fablefreak. He's seemed to know all along that the Singing Sword and Sandgoose weren't real and he stuck by it no matter what.
Hexadecimal: Yeah, our little Freak has a lot of gumption.. I'll give him that...
Well, being so normally shy what made you join a community of so many people?
Sephiroxas: My love for Fable really. And the search for more secrets. The Lookout Point statue was the start of my search and it continued from there. I was a bit reluctant at first. Afraid of being called a "NOOB" but that slowly went away the more people I talked to. Like Drunkles.
Hexadecimal: Good old Drunkles…
And now you're one of the most active members of our community. I really think you live and breathe Fable, and exist on a diet of screenshots
Sephiroxas: Mm screenshots. I do. heehee. Oh and Ramen.
Hexadecimal: You've also been a huge part of our latest Fable modding section... how has modding injected new zeal into your love of the game?
Sephiroxas: I've played through Fable dozens of times on the Xbox, and getting the PC version was mainly inspired by wanting to Mod. I've added new creatures and weapons in various places in my game, new enemies, and wild life. Like Lobsters and baby chicks. It makes me happy to see Fable expanded a little more due to my genius. hehehe. And it makes me happy to see my friends enjoy the new things I've added.
Hexadecimal: Well, when you aren't posting away on the boards, or playing Fable, what do you do with yourself?Murderous rampages? Do you have a secret tunnel in your laundry room? An Oompa Loompa farm, perhaps?
Sephiroxas: Mm Secrety Tunnels. mm Oompa Loompa farm? That'd be nice for house cleaning but no. When I'm not playing Fable or posting on the boards I'm usually cleaning. Doing laundry, doing dishes. Being a house slave as you so nicely put it. Or I'm playing some sort of other game. Like Resident Evil. Or spending time with my lovely boyfriend and his friends. It's nice to hang out sometimes and not have my butt fall asleep because of the computer chair.
Hexadecimal: I see... our forum's not lively enough for you and your butt…that's fine...
Sephiroxas: Oh on the contrary. By the time I get back online I have over 200 e-mail messages from the fable forum. And that was before joining the Asscreed forum I subscribe to everything
Hexadecimal: Oh yes, the assassinscreedx.com forum... mmm... we do love a shameless plug...
Sephiroxas: Heehee. Who doesn't?
Hexadecimal: people who hate publicity... and puppies...
So what is it that you love most about video games in general? What makes you pick up a game in the first place? And what does a game have to have in order to make you stick with it?
Sephiroxas: ooh my. Three questions in a row. Why do I love Video games? I grew up on them. Watching my dad play Quack shot on sega. Which is really hard cause you can't EVER save your game. And the fact that my brother would borrow everyone’s game consoles. I got to play games like Twisted Metal and Legend of Zelda. I like the fact that games can take you away, to wherever you want. It helps me relax if I'm upset, and games like Halo make fun times for Get-togethers.
What makes me pick up a game? Usually I have to see the gameplay first. But most of the time I just read the backs, to see what kind of story it has or to get a glimpse at the graphics.
To make me stick with it, it has to be fun. A game that makes me excited to play it. That's what makes me stick.
Hexadecimal: good old Twisted Metal... so many fond memories...
So just how excited are you for Fable 2? How big will your explosion be when it is released?
Sephiroxas: I'm wicked excited. I have so many ideas and hopes about what it will have. But I won't be disappointed if what I want isn't in it. I'm sure Peter will surprise us all with something mind blowing. Like it said in the poem, we'll know it’s Fable. The explosion will probably level my town and my excited screams will be heard by you.
Hexadecimal: so your boyfriend has some competition does he? interesting...
Sephiroxas: Ohh the screams I shall make. Haha he's the one that has to buy the 360 and the game so he'll probabaly get dibs first.
Hexadecimal: well, you mentioned being a house slave... if you ever had to get a job, what kind of job would it be?
Sephiroxas: What kind of job. Of course Video Game maker. But that's not realistic. I wouldn't mind being a secretary. Maybe a stocker of a store at night. Night Stocker. Or as Justin just suggested an internet porn whore.
Hexadecimal: internet porn whore eh? well, Steve-o's always looking for ways to expand the site...
Alright... last question... what is your secret identity and super power?
Sephiroxas: Heeheee. I can make people start singing at will. And my secret Identity is...PETER M. Heehee. MY will. They have no control.

well, before we wrap up, is there anything else you've been burning to tell my readers?
do you see dead people? will we be horrified to learn you have a penchant for wearing women's undergarments?
Sephiroxas: Not really. Just that I hope they enjoy the display of my juicy insides. And I have a penchant for wearing men’s' undergarments. Do you need my bloodtype too?
Hexadecimal: Well... it couldn't hurt...
Sephiroxas: I have no idea actually. I guess I'm gonna die when I need a blood transfusion.
