Community Spotlight v. 6: Vegeta

Who knows what time it is? That’s right, it’s time for my old song and dance routine again, which means it must be Wednesday night again! Welcome to this week’s edition of the projectego.net Community Spotlight!

This week I dug up another one of our now poverty stricken Supporters, Vegeta, formerly known as 1AK, formerly known as Tyler... Oh how he loves his name of many colours….

After a bit of a rocky start, I was able to use my super secret Bard powers for in the service of Evil and we finally got down to the nitty gritty business of the interrogation...

And away we go.

Hexadecimal: Well, Vegeta, first things first. What brought you to our sassy yet classy community?

Vegeta: Well I played through Fable and Fable TLC alot of times and was getting bored so I came looking for forums to steal some ideas from.

Hexadecimal: Bored with Fable, eh? Well, I certainly can't relate to that, but stealing on the other hand...

Vegeta: Well I was playing Fable and Fable TLC when I noticed that I haven’t opened many demon doors or silver key chests so I came to see what was in them and what not.. I also was looking for just a FABLE based site not like Lionhead.com where they have a lot of games... I just wanted to focus on that 1 game.

Hexadecimal: Speaking of Fable, what do you think of the new features in store for Fable 2? which are you most looking forward to?

Vegeta: I like the well... umm.. From what I’ve heard about the features the dog sounds like it will be good.. but that depends on what type of stuff it does... Like if the dog does the same thing when you just stand there for about 20 seconds and the dog repeats what it started doing then no... I think it needs to have ALOT of AI packed into it to make it a good thing... The gun feature also depends... on like How strong it hits and if you can bash people with it or aim and fire... different things you can do with the gun. The guns can also be a good or bad thing... If the gun has something like aiming bashing or holding the gun different ways then yes but if its just a weapon that you shoot... reload... shoot... reload... then no.

Hexadecimal: Well, once you found us, what was your first impression of the place? What did you think of the members, the threads, you know, all the fun stuff?

Vegeta: Well I was part of forums before this and they all sucked but I noticed that these forums are very easy to go through and the members are really nice and helpful.

Hexadecimal: Nice and helpful? I keep hearing that from everyone lately... where are people getting these wacky ideas?

What feature on the site has most impressed you so far?

Vegeta: Hmm... Good question... I really like the smilies on here which I don’t see many other places.. but I like the "New Posts" button the best.. Most sites I see don’t have this and I can’t search for new information fast on those sites.

Hexadecimal: Well, at 12 years old, at least I'm assuming you're 12 going by your profile, unless it's all a horrible charade, you are one of the community's younger members. What is that like?

Vegeta: Well I actually like it better being in a group of older people because if this was controlled by people of ages 9 through 13 it would have to much spam and crap talk...

Hexadecimal Well, as one of our younger members, in what way is your perspective on gaming different than other, older members?

Vegeta: Well I really like roleplaying not in a bad way, or some may say "A good way" but I like acting as I’m the character as I think some of you do. I don’t think we have a big difference in the way we think...

Hexadecimal: I myself enjoy a bit of roleplaying...

What is it like for you essentially growing up in a world where the next gen is common place?
How does it feel to grow up in what could likely be the golden age of gaming?

Vegeta: Im glad I’m growing up in what could be "The Golden Age" because I think this people of this age will keep up with games unlike the older people that still play Nintendo or Sega.. Not that they are bad but I like it when people keep up with the games.

Hexadecimal: To be fair, some of the older folk have a hard enough time keeping up a steady walking pace, let alone a good game

So what are your favourite games then?

And other than gaming, what do you do in your spare time? have any sinister hobbies we may be interested in taking up?

Vegeta: Well... Some of my favorite games are: Fable: TLC, Halo and Halo2, Smackdown Vs Raw Series, DBZ Bodukai series, and other games like those.
In my spare time other than gaming and on projectego I usually go to the park play basketball or I just ride my bike around town letting the heat hit my back and the wind hit rub my face. It is hard being a geek and a jock...

Hexadecimal: a geek and a jock eh? So do you ever beat yourself up for your own lunch money?

As one of our illustrious Supporters, what exactly made you want to donate your ill gotten funds to our money grubbing site?

Vegeta: Well at first I was just donating to help this awesome site! But when I saw the bonus features "Your Own @projectego.net name" and "New post" quick link ad on feature...
I also did it so when people were looking on the Online they will notice my name because it would be gold
I really love this site. I would donate Anything to keep it up.

Hexadecimal: Anything, you say? Well, we'll surely keep you in mind as Drunkles will likely need a new liver any time now... and come to think of it so will I...

Tell me, what future goals do you have for yourself? What kind of career path do you see yourself taking? Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Vegeta: Ha! No I don't beat myself up for my own lunch money because I go home to eat... Never did like Cafeterias...
Hmm... Where do I see myself in 10 years? Good question... Well I actually think I will go down more of the geek path and do something that has to do with gaming... something like Programming...

Hexadecimal: A self proclaimed geek, eh? Well that's alright, I am too to be honest.

Well before I wrap all this up, is there anything else you're simply burning to tell me and my readers? Last chance!Act now!

Vegeta: Hmm... Any last words? Umm, yeah I will tell you a little of my weird side... I’m not gothic but I like gothic songs and like the clothes gothic people wear and everything about them but I’m a Christian isn’t that weird... everyone else thinks so...
Oh yeah and I never gave up to a game of bloody knuckles the other person always did. I think my hand is like nerve dead or something...

Hexadecimal:… ooo-kay… Well on that note, thank you Vegeta, it’s been interesting.

And that's the end of that chapter. Vegeta the bloody knuckle playing geek... who saw that coming? I'm sure somebody did...

Well, thank you, once again, Vegeta, for sparing the time to answer my probing questions and I invite you all to return again next week for the next bone chilling installment of the Community Spotlight.
