Community Spotlight v. 7: -Ravan-

Why hello there... is it that time again? Of course it is! It's Wednesday night!... for about 3 more minutes... yeah! Which means it's time for this week's projectego.net Community Spotlight! I hit a bit of a snaffoo tonight, a recurring event with this feature it seems, yet I continue to persevere in my quest for global domination and this week I got another step closer. Or so it would seem.

This week my victim turned out to be the elusive -Ravan-. He appeared on the scene a few months ago and upon stating he was a fan of KotOR he won my acclaim... and then with massive and terrible spoilage, made me wear my frownie face...

But never mind that! All is again right with the world, my acclaim is again rewon and interviews are ahoy, so read them we shall...

-Ravan-: I know i could run but, not forever this site is limited in hidey holes, and as Jolee just said to me in KotOR: "You'll probably bug me till i cave. Seems Nothings private anymore."

Do your worst lol. I'll just mention my comp is a bit slow tonight so bare with me lol.

Hexadecimal: That's the spirit! No one gets escapes from Hexadecimal...
And don't worry if your computer is a bit slow... mine is a Dell... I'm sure I don't need to say any more...

So, time for my standard opener. What brought you to our fantabulous Fable community? Were you searching for treasure? Dead bodies? A date? Treasures to offer dead bodies when you take them out on a date?

-Ravan-: Lol Sorry but mine is Dell to and I had to restart this thing, cursing all the way. As for the answer to the Question, All of them, I'm quite the treasure hunter, and love to use my wealth in the hope of creating an Undead army. And in the real world where sane people live, I was looking for answers to a certain video clip of a certain sequel, to a certain game.

Hexadecimal: So... another victim snared by the promise of Fable 2, eh? At least I'm assuming you mean Fable 2...

Well, being the wealth of enchantment and information we are, I hope you found what you were looking for... but what then prompted you to stick around?
And what has been your general impressions of our members... you can be honest... or make something up, I guess, whichever...

-Ravan-: I Found the clip and yes Fable 2, what other possible reason is there to come here.
I stuck around however as I saw this site to be the best one to get other information from, like how to get the Sentinus (which I am working on now), and the hilarious screens Sephi seems to have. Plus the first person to Rep me being Angel, and well people actually being nice, TO ME. I thought I'd just sit back and start putting ideas in the forums and just generally chatting. They all seem nice and polite so I stayed.

Hexadecimal: Nice? Why does everyone keep saying that? Despite what little Sephi may have led you to believe this is a den of pure evil...

Your profile lists your occupation as a Drifter... is this accurate? Where are you drifting from? Where to? And just how lucrative is this glamourous position?

And as you have listed one of your interests as Philosophising, do you have a preferred philosopher or philosophical perspective?

-Ravan-: Currently I am employed at a golf course quite literally a car parks walk away. However, I have wanted to be a pilot, Aero-Engineer, Police Officer, Child Care Worker, and numerous other things. I have also been employed as a Bookseller at a store, and a Cineworld Multifunctional. So career wise, I haven't the foggiest as to where i am going, somewhere nice and at least enjoyable would do.
As for Philosophising, I took a course at school, and learnt about Plato, Socrates, and the like. Some of the stuff I remember, the rest has gone with the time it took to get where I am now, which I’m not sure where that is but still.
As for a Philosophical Perspective, I follow my own path, and ask everyone to do the same, as long as that path doesn't harm anyone else in the process, also to help those who hope, so they can in turn help those that hope.

Hexadecimal: Very interesting views, -Ravan-...
I've been taking Philosophy courses for the past couple years. I find it kind of fun. And that is certainly quite the list of potential careers.

If you could change one thing about the world today, what would it be? Or would you change anything?

-Ravan-: I know I have varied interests.

One thing i could change... I can think of many but to restrict to one. To have a Government, that has but one true goal, to ensure its civilians are happy, and well looked after, without the need to go greedy and power corrupt.

Hexadecimal: Why do you play video games? Is it to escape, explore, watch girlies bounce, kill things... ?

-Ravan-: Why do i play video games? Simple they keep my mind active and i get to be in the story, and not just reading. That and some of the graphics on games are so beautiful now, Huge Battlefields that are fully destructible, or the beauty of a Woman’s Figure. I'll take it all thanks. Besides that I can save them. Oh how many Hours I played sonic the hedgehog or dizzy the egg on sega megadrive i will never know.

Hexadecimal: Sounds like good times...

Alright, well, as I ask everyone around here, what did you love most about Fable, and what are you most looking forward to with Fable 2?

And is there anything you would like to see happen in the future in regards to our always seedy community forums?

-Ravan-: What I loved most about Fable? Many things spring to mind, The best one i think however was getting married, I have never seen that in game.
What I look forward to is the Kids in Fable II, again never been done i'd like to see that.
As for The forums...Keep them as they are, I like the place as it is, keep up the good work.

Hexadecimal: Well, you're certainly easy to please aren't you... I can't say I mind that...
keep them as they are, you say... that's like handing out carte blanche for total laziness and sloth of all kinds... I like it and approve wholeheartedly...

Well, I guess before I wrap everything up, I'll just ask if there's anything you wanted to mention before I go? Something you were hoping against all futile hope that I would ask and then I never did and now you fear you will sink into a dark abysmal abyss forever and ever? Something like that?... or just something you think sounds really neato?

-Ravan-: No i already went to the abyss, its cold dark and smells, so I decided to escape.

However a technical question that i have been trying to get answered and never have, and has nothing to do with this spotlight, and i will probably sound silly over is... how come I have to press the switch editor mode on all the forum replies, and pm's I do, its driving me mad lol.
Apart from that, there is nothing left of my juicy innards left. I think you got them all.

Hexadecimal: mmm and how tasty they are...

to be honest I don't know the answer to that one...

thanks, -Ravan- for suffering through my gruelling questionnaire... May your scars heal with time...

-Ravan-: As for the whole questionnaire it was a pleasure, I hope you caught my good side lol. It was fun.

And there he is, in all his glory! Philosopher, Treasure Hunter, watcher of bouncy game girls... I particularly enjoyed this interview as it was the first one in which I really had never before had any sort of conversation with the victim...

Well, I again extend my thanks to -Ravan-, and invite you all to return again next week to witness the awe and foul horror that is the Community Spotlight.

There is a setting at the bottom of the options page inside user CP

Message Editor Interface

When posting messages to the forums or other members, there are three interface types available to you. The simplest of these is a simple text box, while the last is a fully-fledged WYSIWYG editor, which allows you to format your text as you want it and see the results immediately.

Depending upon the capabilities of your web browser, you may not be able to use all of these options. If you experience problems when posting messages, try switching to a different interface type. Basic Editor - A simple text box Standard Editor - Extra formatting controls Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing
