Coolness Be-gone? (spoilers)

Howdy, I have one issue.

My character looked pretty badass. I'd had my youth sapped away by the shadow court, but that just served to make the Balverine slash mark across my face all the more apparent and awesome looking. Not only that, but my eyes glowed red, even though I was good. I looked great, and I loved it. So, I do a bunch of stuff and finally decide to finish the main story. But, what's this? All my scars were gone, and so were my glowing eyes!

Personally, I'm ****ed. Now I look mediocre. And due to the autosaving and what-not, I can't even reload a game to enjoy my awesomeness.

Does this happen to everyone?

I'd ask if there was a way to reverse it, but I know better than to hope there is.

Why would anyone want to reverse being turned back to normal? If you want a quick peak at the red eyes again then just walk your character up to a wall and position the camera so it's in their head; you should see the eyes again

Well, your red eyes will eventually disappear, whether you want it or not.
I don't know about the scars, but it should remain the same. But, on the other hand, from what I've heard, is that at a certain point in the game, you'll lost all your disadvantages, and look normal again.

How unfortunate. See, not only are the scars and eyes gone, but his... Weathered look as well. All the effects of having his age sapped are gone. Now, some people may prefer the 'normal' appearance, but my previous character looked like he'd been through a lot, and he just looked... Good.

But, c'est la vite. It happens.

I'm going to start over again, anyway, since I want to re-make a few decisions I had made, now with more knowledge of the consequences.
