Could some one help me out with the archaeologist quest?

yea would need osme help with it im kinda stuck , i talked to a man he said the deamon gate name was Hits ..but when i do get the stone in that name nothing happens ..and when i talk to him he says ... only one person knows my name and .....

so could some one help me out plz

...so you already tried striking the stones in order H-I-T-S ?
once you do that, the demon door should let you through...
have you tried reloading and trying again? it could just be another of Fable's infamous glitches...

Yeah you should only have to hit the stones in that order and door should open. If not try reloading save as Hex suggested or hitting them in wrong order on purpose then trying again.

hmm i saved and reloaded . typed Hits but that damn thing wont let me in ....the stones are in the same map? there are 4 stones with those letters .. hmm wierd

did you reload an old save?
or did you just save there and then reload that same quest?because if the problem is on that save, you may have to just go back to an old save and redo everything you've done in between...

so you mean ..take a save where i dint hvae the quest? ...ahhhhhh il loose my assasin gear then is there no other way??

doesn't sound like it, no...
if that save has a glitch which isn't letting you finish the quest then saving and reloading it will just keep reloading the glitch... which is what it sounds like is happening to you...
I would recommend going back to an old save and trying to catch up again...
...you have nothing to lose really, as if you can't get that door open you can't finish the quest and finish the game...

Did you REALLY TYPE hits? are you on PC or Xbox?

You have to hit the stones in order..with your sword..like your attacking an enemy.

well... what I said to you before pretty much is the walkthrough...
you don't even have to go and talk to the guy at the temple of avo at all.... I never have... not once...

just talk to the demon door, he'll tell you that you have to learn his name
then head over to the stones, hit them with your sword in order - H-I-T-S-

then come back to the demon door and he should let you through to find the archaeologist... =]
