crashes on start

After starting a new game in Fable TLC, as soon as the introduction video is over i get a message that the game quit working and must shutdown. I have played this game on this computer b4 without issues. Just updated video driver today. Any ideas?

Vista home premium 32 bit
2.13 duel core duo
8800gt video card
sound blaster audigy se

Tried also updating sound drivers for the Sound Blaster card?

Yes this is an older card the last time they came out with a driver for it was in 2007.

I tried the Beta drivers for the audigy se. didnt make a difference, same problem. If I remember right i didnt have this audio card when i played it the first time. Have other had problems with audigy cards? Easier to go back to onboard sound drivers?

Ive heard of some issues with that particular sound card range yeah.
