Crashing vista

I am having some issues with fable tlc and vista. I have already tried that update we can get from microsoft but it says it is relevant to my system. Some times it just randomaly crashes and I get that not responding window that comes up. Other times it seems when I either switch to fast and do a spell it just freezes, but the sound continues and everything is still working (like the minimap, the characters are still moving) but the actual animations freeze. Anyone havt any ideas.

yup, iv even updated all my drivers. I have tried (which is how it is running currently) running it in XP compatibility but no change. I just haven't changed it back.

You could just be experiencing MAJOR lag, and or the setting may be cranked up too high. What video card do you have? That may be the problem.
