CryEngine 2 MMO unveiled

The highly acclaimed CryEngine 2 has made its way into a new MMO that is being shown off at GDC this week.

Avatar Reality is serving up a sneak peek at its MMO, powered by the mighty CryEngine 2, at GDC this week. It'll be in the West Hall Career Pavilion if you're passing. If not, take a look at the first shots right here.

Official blurb says the game is set in a terraformed Mars, in the year 2177 AD. We're told Blue Mars will feature "stunning graphics, realistic characters and endless gaming attractions". A public beta version is set to launch at the end of the year.

GDC is playing host to an interactive tour of Blue Mars, which will show off some of the sexy visuals brought by the use of CryTek's engine.
