Crytek have posted Part 2 of their Multiplayer Progression video series showing off some of the upgrades and modifications you can get in the weapons area of their upcoming sequel to Crysis.
The full game is out on March 25th for UK and March 22nd for NA but the multiplayer demo is online now.

I never liked Crysis, besides the graphics. I've yet played the Crysis 2 Multiplayer Demo, but a lot of my friends have they all say it's Epic.

I'm considering it, but right now, I'm too addicted to my StarCraft 2.

Edited: I'm currently downloading the Crysis 2 demo right now.

The gameplay looks pretty solid, not sure if want though (never played the original crisis.)

I thought the same about the gameplay and i havent played the original Crysis either. I did preorder this one though as it looked quite impressive. Like a cross between Halo Reach and CoD series but with set pieces of Half Life 2 & Halo.

Well, I can't log into the damn Multiplayer, because it won't accept my User Name and password, although I'm using the right one. Apparently, a lot of people are having this issue. Gah. I uninstalled it.

They are working on a patch i believe as it has something to do with not recognising EA server logins. I downloaded the 360 version demo but havent had chance to try it yet. Luckily they are fixing all the issues before the release so the final game wont be plagued with these issues.

[UPDATE]
Crytek have also came out and said that Crysis 2 will not be using EA's online pass system that requires gamers who purchase the game 2nd hand (used) to purchase an online pass to play the game online. Crytek were allowed to opt out of including it in their game as it's an independent developer working under the EA Partners program, rather than an EA owned studio.

They have also released another new video detailing skill assessments, perks and dog tags in their upcoming title.

Skill assessments are a range of challenges you can take on while playing multiplayer to earn new levels of ability related to each area of assessment.

Customisable dog tags are carried by each player and dropped when they're killed, and you can pick them up to unlock new perks like 'maximum radar' and 'Nanosuit jammer', which are "map specific support bonuses that can be deployed to order".

Alright, I redownloaded it, and just ended up creating a "new account". I played for a good 30 minutes. It's alright. Again, I've played Crysis and Crysis: Warhead and was not fond of it, at all.

Crysis 2 Multiplayer Demo has a lot of interesting stuff, such as Dog Tags which you can customize. You could also add your Clan/Team Tag through it's own Option without having to enter it with your name (Mind you, the version I played is the PC version; I don't know how drastic a change the versions will be throughout the platforms).

You could also unlock "abilities" and such, through buying them with "money" you get after each match.

When a match ends, it takes a LONG time to restart a new match. So you and the other players just sit there waiting for the timer. I believe it's a minute or two, which doesn't seem like a long time, but if you've played other FPS games such as Counter-Strike: Source, Counter-Strike, Unreal Tournament 3, etc. that are heavily into multiplayer, matches restart in 20 seconds or less. So a minute or two is quite a wait.

Anyway, it has A LOT of potential, especially since not all the functions are unlocked in the demo. I could see this game being great; However, I didn't have much fun playing it, mainly due to the fact I only played 30 minutes worth of the game.

Another note I'd like to throw out there is I hate starting new and everyone else already has/bought better equipment, so they could kill you with a single shot, while it takes you a whole clip to kill them. Just saying.

Games usually have a 'cool off' period of a couple of minutes while people mess around with new upgrades and unlockables and customise stuff depending on what map they are playing. Counter Strike allowed you to do this right at the start of the match for example so didnt have to have a huge loading time gap & Unreal Tournament didnt have much customisation. Plus im guessing most of the wait is because its the demo and the final games loading wont be so long.

A lot of games are decently balanced when against higher ranked players and try to matchmake you with people of similar rank. Thats how it works in most online titles anyway so id expect it to be around the same for Crysis 2. Can be a little frustrating when there is a rogue level 50 player in your game with uber equipment taking everyone out left, right and centre but for the most part it is usually managed ok by game servers.

Yeah, I understand that. I just hate it. I'm used to the old school games where everyone was pretty much equal and it took skill to win. Now it feels like whoever has the better equipment will pwn it up (Like in CoD). I guess I'm a little too old school, this is why I've been heavily addicted to RTS games.

Ive came from old school to the games of today but they give you more of an incentive to play with the progression and unlocks now. They give you an advantage in some situations but there is no subsitute for pure skill and its only in rare cases someone who isnt as good of a player wins because of an unlock. As better scopes only help those with a good shot and 'perks' only help people who know how to use them right and there is almost always a counter measure for them for balance purposes in most games.
