Custom model help!

Hey all!
I have made a model in 3ds Max 9, and tried to put it into FE, but when I load up my game, and equip the weapon, my game crashes and shows the error report thingy...

This is what I did to make the new weapon...:

I exported all needed data from Steel Katana, and created a new entry called Iron Pipe (didn't want to call it steel...) and imported the data from the Steel Katana, and replaced the necesarry information, but now comes my problem...

First I made a model, and forgot to import the steel_katana.x file, so I't wouldn't work...
Then I made a new model, with the things, but forgot the texture's, and it was lagged.
So then I made the last one I have now...
I created the model, imported steel katana, moved the weapon_pos_a etc... and exported it (also saved as .3ds).
Then I loaded it up in FE, applied changes, saved and ran fable...
But then it happend as I said above... :(

Anyone knows what could be wrong?
If you need it, I can also upload the .3ds file.

That's the tutorial I followed... :P

But can you check it out (if you have 3ds max), then I'll just give you the 3ds file?

Well I am far from an expert on this stuff so...

What I can tell you is that the model looks fine, but it looks like you somehow added animations, or a strange modifier to it - but I don't know really how to deal with it.

Maybe someone else does, check attachment.

What you also could do is try again, because apart from the 'strange stuff' the model looks like it should work.

EDIT!:

I tried to make a new one, with just a cylinder (or w/e), and still the same thing happens :S

Please help!

Try importing a weapon from fable, then exporting it. If it won't work in the game, then I don't know what to tell you. If it does work, that means you've been doing something wrong
