Ok, so I went and saw this film called Cyrus, literally not even 20 minutes ago, and I must say that it was the worst pile of **** ever. I mean this film was so unbelievably crap! I passed up watching The Last Exorcism because I thought that looked incredibly bad and I had faith in John C. Reilly and Jonah Hill to produce a funny and enjoyable comedy . . . ummmm I honestly don't think I can class this as a comedy. It lacked ambition and maybe could have been a good film but fell well short of the mark.

I personally wouldn't recommend seeing it but then again this might appeal to a different audience that I wouldn't associate myself with. What surprises me is that it has actually received some pretty 'alright' reviews and it has 80% approval rating from film critics. It was quite low budget so I wasn't expecting something amazing but I was hoping it would at least be worth the £7 I paid to get in.

Has anyone else seen this film or is going to see this film? What are your opinions?

Film critics are idiots. I never pay attention to them. They are the ones who said Titanic was an awesome film. It wasn't. The only good bit was when Rose said she'd never let go - and then did.

Never heard of Cyrus but then I rarely go to the cinema seeing as we don't have one in our town.

I've never heard of it but it's never a wise idea to listen to critics. They're hardly the most knowledgeable bunch out there and their opinions tend to be skewed (or biased).

I might watch it just for the sake of seeing how bad it is though.

You were right in not seeing the Last Exorcism... those movies have never been all that great.

i've never heard of that film, but i doubt i'm going to be seeing it now.
it kind of reminded me of cyrus the virus from con-air though.
