Was only a matter of time after all, Community manager of Namco Bandai has revealed in an event in Las Vegas. Was also confirmed via his Twitter account moment later...
'"Dragon Ball Z KINECT Coming 2012 !! - FIREBALLS IN REAAAAL LIFE! - DBZ + Kinect = punch, kicks and kamehameha's!!!!,'
The title will apparently feature a QR reader that will unlock new in-game content and feature more than 50 characters and 100 moves, more details will be revealed soon.

Lol...

Well, I have no interest in ever getting this game, but it could be interesting to watch how it develops overtime. Who knows, maybe they'll do something different.

Another party game with unresponsive control system, dumbed down moves, copy & paste characters with shallow move sets. Just guessing...

Not a fan of Dragon Ball; not a fan of Kinect. Even if I was - I'll still say this was a silly idea. There isn't a lot that can be done with Kinect other than cash in on franchised party games.

I want a proper DBZ game not some flash in the pan, in the headines for 5mins then in the bargain bin title. Both me and Scott are long time fans and I havent properly enjoyed a DBZ game since Budokai 3. Best since then was a Mod for Half Life called Earths Special Forces, that was the only one that I played for a decent amount of time. The franchise is crying out for a deep, challenging game with a fully fleshed out combat system and all we seem to get is people cashing in on the DBZ name for easy sales.

Oh most definitely, but you never know.. they could end up pulling something clever from their butts. Strange surprises have happened with crap games before.

I wanna see Street Fighter: Kinect.

HADOUKEN!!!!111

Id have had more hope if Raging Blast series and Ultimate Tenkaichi would have lived up to what was promised and not been rehashed and repackaged ideas from previous games that also flopped. Namco Bandai seem to publish some great games (The Witcher 2) but then fall a little flat on the development front.

Yeah I noticed that too, it's just like with THQ.. they've published some really good games over the years but when it comes to developing they absolutely suck. Of course, their in-house development team is very small in comparison to a full-fledged developer studio.. so that's another reason why (along with cheap budgets).. I imagine the same for NB.

Wish they hadn't abandoned the Burst Limit series, it could have been a lot better by now if they kept what worked for Budokai 3 and went from there. Seems the only good Dragon Ball title right now is that old Korean MMO game Dragon Ball Online, which has gotten some pretty fair reviews.

Yeah I liked the look of that MMO and I dont really like MMO games as a rule. Shame the development teams havent sat down and looked at what has worked over the years and pooled some ideas together. Just need to merge some features from the games and tie them all into one package and could create something great.

I.. I cringed.. so bad.

So... it is basically just one long Quick Time Event? See how he has to jump 0:50, for example.

Well that just looks like Ultimate Tenkaichi with sh*tty Kinect controls, and Ultimate Tenkaichi was even bad enough for me to not like it. I mean, I'm eventually getting Kinect anyway, so I'll check out some gameplay footage and some reviews once this thing is actually released, but unless that stuff surprises me, I'm not going to bother with this game.

I'm not going to bother with this game.

No-one over the age of 10 will likely bother either and seem as though most DBZ fans are over 18 I dont know who this will appeal to. DBZ isnt as well known to kids these days as it has been off air for some time.
