Dead Rising And Lost Planet Will NOT Be Going To PS3

With the annoucement of many titles and also of Devil May Cry 4 from Capcom going multiplatform the Sony fans have asked if that means that Lost Planet and Dead Rising will also go to PS3 and Christian Svensson has said:

Thats a fair question and the answer is Dead Rising and Lost Planet: Extreme Condition are not slated to appear on Wii or PS3 as far as current plans go. The reasons for this are quite convoluted and I'm bound by NDAs on these matters so I can't divulge why this is the situation.

He also commented about Resident Evil 5 going to 360 and PS3 simultaneously.

Things seem to be getting complicated with the PS3, as it is rather obvious more outrage and fan frustration will ensue after this as in all their other problems. Perhaps there might be a bit of 360 fan frustration if some popular soon-to-be PS3 titles cannot be converted as well.

Id say 'Maybe' but the 360 has a lot more exclusives Sony fans want on the PS3 and only big titles left to get to come on over to 360 is Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy XIII and talks are already happening.

Id say 'Maybe' but the 360 has a lot more exclusives Sony fans want on the PS3 and only big titles left to get to come on over to 360 is Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy XIII and talks are already happening.

Perhaps about the 'already happening' part of it, you could say that marketing strategies that try to release an item after one of its major competitors', may not always end in success. After all, the Xbox 360 already showed people its power, games and bonus features, and by the time the PS3 came along, people were not as wowed by the next-gen hardware aspect of it, having been so used to the style of the 360.

Its not a guarantee that Microsoft WILL get them to make Final Fantasy XIII and Metal Gear Solid 4 become multi platform but it could happen who knows... was also mentioned here:

First they all signed a petition to say they would be boycotting their products then they start whining again saying 'Well if DMC 4 is on Xbox 360 then we should have their Dead Rising and Lost Planet' they sound like children who cant get their own way :lol:

Makes me laugh how they publicly moaned and whinged at Capcom and said they had made a terrible decision about bringing a former Sony exclusive to Xbox 360 but then they ask Capcom to do the exact same thing with some Microsoft exclusives... How is that any different to what they have already done? :hmm:

It seems to be that the console wars only do one thing in my book- make more snotty game-buyers complain about why their favorite system can't have all the flashy features that its competitor does, though it's perfectly fine when they get it... until another problem erupts out of the volcano that is console madness! -(hehe... bardage)
