Demon door Greatwood Caves

After I worked hard on killing hobbes and kicking the asses of the big ones, I had a combat multiplier of 15.
I went to the demon door and the stupid door wanted a higher Combat Multiplier!!
How high does it has to be??

When you go to the Demon Door you have to have your combat multiplier at 14 while you speak to it. Just go to Hobbe Cave (use Physical Shield) and back. That should help you get it to 14.

Wait until after you do the Escort Traders Through Darkwood quest before trying to open the door. Once you do that, it'll spawn an earth troll outside the demon door instead of hobbes. Go in and then out of the hobbe cave, and if you see no hobbes and the earth troll doesn't pop out of the ground, whip out your bow and charge it up for a few minutes. You might want to turn on physical shield to be safe here.

Once you've charged up the shot for a while, move towards the area where the troll will pop up, and when he does, let him have it. Tada, big combat multiplier and some decent experience.
